CAP MAVAL
Every year ( with the exception of years 2020 & 2021 ) since the beginning of our sanstha ( in 2011 ), we have been distributing around 22,000 note books to 3,500 really needy school children in 168 schools in remote & inaccessible villages MAVAL TALUKA.
All year round we collect note books of various types ( 200 pages, 100 A4 size, 200 with squares etc, as required by the primary & secondary schools ). We also accept monetary donations for buying notebooks ( in bulk at whole sale rates ), from all over MAHARASHTRA & even outside. However, since, “charity begins at home”, each member of our organization also donates handsomely according to his/her capacity, for this project.
ALSO, MANY OF OUR MEMBERS ACCEPT NOTE BOOKS AS GIFTS ON THEIR BIRTHDAYS & DONATE THESE TO OUR SANSTHA.
Every year, we get in touch with teachers in every school & ask them to give us names of names of 20, ‘really needy’ children in their schools. Then, we plan, 14 to 15 routs to cover the entire MAVAL TALUKA, & form teams ( of 2 or 3 members each ) to cover all routes. On the first day of the school ( 15th JUNE ), all teams start early in the morning, with thousands of note books loaded in their own cars & visit each school on their given rout. We always find that, the children & the teachers, are waiting eagerly for us & we always get an enthusiastic welcome in every school. This is the proof that our gift of notebooks is highly valued & appreciated by them all.
Lately, we observed that, work books are available, which can help the students in self study & practice. We discussed this with teachers in these village schools & got their commitment that they will examine the work books filled by the students. We then collected contribution from our members, bought these work books in bulk, visited the schools and distributed these work books to the poor & needy students. Due to COVID pandemic students have stayed away from school. These workbooks will bridge this gap and will get them in the flow of education. This will facilitate teachers to complete academic requirements ( portions) . These workbooks are very colourful and attractive. Students really look forward to complete them. One single book takes care of all subjects, so, just ONE single book to be carried and completed. There is NO EXTRA BURDON. So far, we have distributed these workbooks in following schools.
